Recommended Products for Your Cocker Spaniel Puppy.

I have linked each recommended product to, that way if you are interested in buying something, you won't have to voyage all the way to your local pet store. Why leave your new puppy home alone when you can shop online and have everything you need delivered to your door?

Frontline Plus for Cocker Spaniels
Frontline Plus Flea Treatment

(0-22lb dogs)

(22-43lb dogs)
(45-88lb dogs)
Our veterinarian recommended that we purchase Fronline Plus because it has an added ingredient that kills flea eggs as well as the fleas themselves. I was suprised that this wasn't included in all of the flea medications. Most Vet's offer this product but a six month supply of Frontline Plus sells for $85.00. sells the same product for around $50.00. Wow, I really found a discount!
Adjustable Pet Clipper Kit With Video for a Cocker Spaniel Puppy
Adjustable Pet Clipper Kit With Video
This is the perfect kit to begin grooming your dog at home and it costs under $30.00! A handy video is included to show you some of the basics of grooming your dog. In addition, you also get scissors and various sized blade guards for trimming many different coats with different lengths. I have been using this exact kit for about 4 months and it is still holding up. I wanted a low priced grooming set so I could decide if I could handle the responsibilities of grooming and I will upgrade when (or if) these clippers ever die. Scooter has had about 3 haircuts. If you add up how much we would have spent on professional grooming, you can see that we have saved a lot of money with these clippers!!!
Cocker Spaniel Tennis Ball Toy
A great Cocker Spaniel toy!
Scooter first learned about this toy from his Uncle Cody and Aunt Lexi. It has the same feel as a tennis ball, but it's a ring. This adds a whole new dimension to chewing! When you throw this it bounces in all sorts of directions and this drives our Cocker Spaniel Puppy crazy!!!
Kong Toy - A perfect Cocker Spaniel new puppy Toy
Another great Cocker Spaniel toy!
Scooter just got one of these for Christmas and he can't stop chewing on it. Not only does he chew on it but it is his favorite thing to fetch. When you throw it, it will bounce in an unpredictible fashion that drives the little guy crazy... Highly Recommended!!
Retractable Leash for Cocker Spaniels
Retractable Leash
Scooter enjoys having some room to sniff around. When we walk him on a normal (non-retractable leash) he is pretty much at our side, but sometimes that tree 15 feet away just looks so tempting. This leash enables Scooter to go ahead and explore that tree without me having to get my shoes dirty! When Scooter wants to come back to me, the leash just retracts and contains all of the excess cord so you can't trip on it. Of course, there is a safety latch so your dog can only extend the leash when you allow him to. This is a great leash especially when you take your dog to the park.
Toy Monkey for a Cocker Spaniel
Toy Monkey with Rope Arms
This is one of those toys that is part rope. These are perfect for a Cocker Spaniel because the rope acts as dental floss! Scooter will lay down, hold the monkey between his paws and pull the ropes. You can actually see the rope fibers going through his front teeth! The monkey part is made of soft plush.
My cocker spaniel's Soccer toy
Soft Plush
Soccer Ball Toy
This is another soft plush toy with rope. Scooter loves chewing on the rope or fetching it!
Cocker Spaniel Toothbrush and Toothpaste
Cocker Spaniel Toothbrush
and Toothpaste Combo
Dental Hygeine is a must for your Cocker Spaniel. We try to brush Scooter's teeth at least once a week. Sometimes his breath will remind us that it's time for a cleaning. At first Scooter would lick the toothpaste off the brush, but now he just sits there and lets me scrub away! This is a great deal because the toothpaste is included along with the brush!
Crate Train your Cocker Spaniel
Cocker Spaniel Crate
I am a strong supporter of Crate Training. I feel that it is a great way for a puppy to learn that certain areas are off limits for potty. Visit my Cocker Spaniel Crate Training page for more details on potty training with a crate. The Vari Kennel crate is the strongest crate that i've come across. It has a very sturdy handle and a strong door. The size that I think fits an American Cocker Spaniel Puppy the best is the Medium Vari Kennel with measurements: 27'L x 20'W x 19'H.
